The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to September 30, 2024.

We are restarting the Southwest Robotics Symposium for the first time since COVID-19. The symposium will be held on October 31 and November 1, 2024, on the Tempe campus of Arizona State University.

This event is open to researchers in the fields of robotics, automation, control and related fields; students in the fields of engineering, medicine and nursing; industry and technology investors; and the general public. The symposium will include two plenary talks, topic-driven technical sessions, a poster session, and industry booths. The theme of the symposium is “Robotics for Social Good,” and the lineup of invited speakers will feature leaders in the areas of Planning and Learning, Safety, Medical Robotics, Human-Robot Systems, and Soft Robotics.

Call for poster abstract submissions

Please encourage your students to attend and to submit 1-page abstracts describing their research endeavors for consideration for the symposium poster session. Selected posters will be given 3 minutes for oral (pitch) presentation during the event. This will provide an opportunity for students to gain exposure for their research and feedback from a dedicated group of professionals, as well as meet new people in the robotics community and learn about exciting research from the technical sessions.
